Helping the Nations Find Hope in Jesus
Our church was pioneered by Pastor Nathan and Dena Keller. And from the beginning, they envisioned nations and generations coming together to create a faith environment where God’s love is shared and His presence experienced. Through small groups, serving opportunities, and weekend worship gatherings (on campus and online) our story continues as we help the nations find hope in Jesus.
Nate and Dena Keller and their son Logan moved to Texas in the summer of 2000 to plant SLFC. Under their leadership, the church has grown to become a family of more than 30 nations of all ages that call SLFC home. Today they continue to lead the church forward from this perspective: “It’s always a first time for someone at SLFC—let’s make it the best.”

What We Believe
About the Bible
We believe that the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error.
We believe in one personal God who exists eternally as: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, equal in power, authority and glory.
We believe Jesus Christ to be the virgin born Son of God who lived in flesh, died for the sins of the world, was buried, rose again bodily, and ascended to the Father.
About the Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit who regenerates and indwells every believer in Jesus, assures us of our salvation, guides us into all truth, glorifies Jesus and convinces of sin, righteousness and judgment. He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, and empowers us for service.
