As we step into the new year, we’re setting aside intentional time to seek God together through 21 Days of Prayer, Fasting, and Consecration.

For 3 weeks, starting this Sunday, January 11, we’ll create space for God to move by intentionally letting go of things that often compete for our attention and trust. This is not about religious pressure or perfection, it’s about positioning our hearts to hear God clearly and aligning our lives with Him.

When we fast, pause, and surrender together, we posture ourselves for deeper intimacy with God. These 21 days help reset our priorities and remind us that our strength, peace, and direction come from Him.

Whether you’ve fasted before or this is your first time—there’s a place for you. Ask God how He’s inviting you to participate, and take the step with us.

Week 1: Fasting

January 11–17

Letting Go of Physical Comfort

We intentionally remove something we rely on, so we’re reminded that God is who we truly rely on.

Examples may include:

Certain foods

Certain meals

A Daniel Fast

This week helps train our bodies to follow our spirit.

A Willing Heart

Scripture: Psalm 51:10

Prayer: “God, create in me a clean heart. Prepare me for what You want to do.”

Action: Choose your fast for this week and commit it to God.

Week 2: Pausing

January 18–24

Letting Go of Constant Consumption

We don’t lack information, we often lack stillness.

Examples may include:

Social media

News

Streaming

Doomscrolling

We replace consumption with connection:

Worship

Scripture

Prayer

Silence

Pausing creates space for God to speak.

Be Still

Scripture: Psalm 46:10

Prayer: “God, quiet my mind so I can hear You.”

Action: Turn off unnecessary media today and sit in silence for 5 minutes.

Week 3: Surrendering

January 25–31

Letting Go of What Controls Us

This is the one thing you might say, “I need this to get through my day.”

Examples may include:

Coffee

Sugar

A comfort habit

A distraction

A coping mechanism

This week trains our hearts to trust Jesus fully.

Not My Will

Scripture: Luke 22:42

Prayer: “God, I surrender my plans to You.”

Action: Identify the “one thing” you’re surrendering this week.
